I had seen it in the Turkish media, but didn't completely trust it...but I guess they did indeed take out Ararat from the Armenian Football Federation logo. Nice. No wonder Dashnaks are pissed; the longest-running single issue party in the history of the world is about to become obsolete.
Maybe we should also take out Ararat from the national coat of arms and ban the word Ararat from school books, that might please Turks. How much lower can we go?
I would really like to know that whose idea it was?
Mika jan - what is the source of information about Aznavur's visit?
A friend of mine close to the organising committee told me about Aznavour visit first; then later during the day Public Radio broadcasted the news. No other source reported this info. Lets see.
Aznavour won't come - I've just posted the article on http://munetik.wordpress.com.
It will soon be up on RFE/RL website as well.

Looks like the new logo was a 5 minute photoshop job made specifically for this purpose. Maybe after the game they will change it back.
Spineless government with a spineless 'president'.
It is truly said
"Gogh sirte dogh".
