Political persecutions approved by government controlled Armenian parliament

Today Armenian parliament where current authorities control majority of seats, decided to deprive of immunity four MPs who declared their support for former president and presidential candidate Levon Ter-Petrosyan. This decision gives Armenian prosecutors a green light to proceed with the arrests of the following MPs:

Hakob Hakobyan (MP, previously supported ruling regime, recently declared support for Ter-Petrosyan opposition movement)

Myasnik Malkhasyan (MP, previsously supported ruling regime, recently declared support for Ter-Petrosyan opposition movement)

Sasun Mikaelyan (MP, previously supported ruling regime, recently declared support for Ter-Petrosyan opposition movement)

Khachatur Sukiasyan (independent MP and well known businessman; always a supporter of Ter-Petrosyan)

Myasnik Malkhasyan and Hakob Hakobyan has already been detained and were present in the parliament. The wereabouts of Sasun Mikaelyan and Khachatur Sukiasyan is not know.

Opposition Heritage party in its statement considers these detentions and arrests a political persecution and called fellow deputies to vote against.
